Templegate’s horse racing tips: Redcar, Chelmsford, Leicester and Ayr – Templegate’s betting preview for racing on Monday, October 29

Leicester, Redcar, Chelmsford and Ayr come under the spotlight as Templegate gives you his best bets for the day

STAND to attention in Chelmsford's 6.15.

SALUTE THE SOLDIER (nap) is making his handicap debut for top handler Clive Cox and can take advantage of his more exposed rivals.

Cox's three-year-old showed more than enough in his first three outings and has been gelded since his last run. He makes a belated comeback but can make his rivals pay.

GLORIOUS JEM (2.50 Redcar, nb) is set to make it third time lucky today.

He showed significant improvement to go down narrowly at Leicester last time and he should handle today's softer conditions.

NUITS ST GEORGES (2.15 Redcar, treble) won't be stopped by a 2lb rise in the weights from his previous win.

The three-year-old stayed on gamely to land a Haydock contest over shorter last month and looked ready to step up to this trip.
