GRAVISTAS has shown plenty of promise on the all-weather with a staying-on second at Wolverhampton last time. That was over a furlong shorter than today and this hike in distance should bring further improvement.
Just Hubert was beaten a neck on his debut over this trip last time and is another who wouldn’t have to show much more to figure.

LINCOLN PARK hasn’t been clobbered for this handicap debut and is also making his debut for capable trainer Michael Appleby. He showed promise with a couple of fourth placed efforts in novice events at York and Silvestre De Sousa is an excellent jockey booking.
Don Logan improved at Carlisle last time and ran a fair third on his previous visit here. He’s another starting on a fair mark.

DREAM TODAY was a bit unlucky to finish just second at Newmarket last time out. He was coming with a good run entering the final quarter-mile when he was blocked and had to build momentum again. He goes off the same mark today and has clear claims.
Completion was a fair second here last time and the handicapper has given him a chance by leaving him alone.

SO NEAR SO FARHH was very impressive when winning over a furlong shorter here last time so a 6lb rise in the weights shouldn’t be a major issue. He was in control from a long way out and trotted over the line.
This is a slightly easier assignment than Angel Gabrial has been facing and he wasn’t beaten far at Chester last time. He places more than he wins and can get in the frame again.

CANDELISA has copped a plum low draw on this debut for new connections and has tumbled down the weights. It’s interesting that he wears a tongue tie for the first time and is also going over his best distance. It’s a slight leap of faith but he’s got enough quality if things come together.
Edgar Allan Poe can with a very strong win to score at Hamilton last time and will like this ground. He should be on the premises again.

ZESHOV continues in excellent form and is 1lb lower than when running an excellent third at Beverley last time out. He had no room at a crucial stage and had to settle for a place in a similar contest.
He likes some cut in the ground and has a good draw here. Glorious Poet has been placed on his past two turf starts and is another who looks fairly handicapped.

ORMESHER will be pleased to get back on soft ground on the level after relishing that surface when winning his past two runs over hurdles. His modest Flat form has come in much quicker conditions and he looks low in the weights.
Sempre Presto is pretty consistent and was far from disgraced in fifth at Ayr last time. He’s another who has had some help from the handicapper.

Newcomer MATTERHORN wouldn’t have to be anything out of the ordinary to take this. Trainer Mark Johnston continues to have his horses in good form and this trip should suit on debut.
Nomoathaj and and Fronsac both come here after solid runs at Chelmsford last time and are also worth a look.
