SATURDAY YANKEE

Saturday racing tips: Matt Chapman has a Saturday Yankee that can strike for punters this weekend

As well as the racing on ITV there is plenty of value to be had and Chapman has had his head stuck in the form book

Matt Chapman

Let's try for another Yankee this Saturday and this week will have an international flavour.

We pop over the channel to France, jump on the plane to Ireland and we're back on home soil for the finale.

Leg 1 - Holdthaigreen (Longchamp, 4.40)

For my first leg I want to head to Longchamp, and the Group 1 Prix du Cadran.

I'm all over Holdthaigreen here, who recently smashed up the tough Marmelo. My Tony Piccone ridden hope.

My selection has won two of his last three starts and seems to be a fast improving stayer. The trip will be ideal.

Leg 2 - Brundtland (Longchamp, 1.00)

I'm also happy to throw Brundtland in to my Yankee. He also runs at Longchamp for Charlie Appleby in a Group 2 over 1m7f.

Unbeaten in three starts, the son of Dubawi looked really good when landing a similar event over a bit shorter last time and should make it four on the bounce.

Leg 3 - Felix Desjy (Gowran, 2.30)

My third selection will hopefully just bolster the winnings, as there's no doubt Felix Desjy looks a good thing in the maiden hurdle over 2m4f.

Felix was sixth in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham and should hack up here for Gordon Elliott.

Chappers' Dark Horse

If you like a horse at a bigger price, then have a look at EVERGATE in the finale at Ascot, the 4.45 over 5f. Gerald Mosse is a good booking for Robert Cowell's hope, and he has shown a real liking for Ascot. The handicapper has dropped Evergate a couple of pounds and he has every chance of at least hitting the frame.

Leg 4- Muneyra (Wolverhampton, 5.45)

My final leg of the Yankee will be Muneyra who runs at Wolverhampton in the maiden fillies' contest.
Trained by William Haggas, the youngster did little wrong on the debut when second at Chelmsford.
With a good draw he should take all the beating under Liam Jones.
