Best horse racing tips: Sun Racing’s top picks for today’s racing at Ascot, Fontwell, Newmarket, Redcar and Wolverhampton

Don't miss out on Sun Racing's best bet and each-way shot at all of today's meetings

IT'S showtime on Saturday, with top cards from Ascot and Newmarket as well as fare from Fontwell, Wolverhampton and Redcar.

The Sun Racing team have been studying the form and picked out their best bets and each-way picks for today's cards.

1

Ascot

Best bet

3.00 Limato - Back on fast ground, Henry Candy's lightning fast sprinter can continue his journey back to the big time. A very classy sort on his day, he's better than these if putting it all together. The last time he ran over this course and distance he was third in a Group 1 and there's nothing of that class in this.

Each-way

3.35 Escobar - Looks well-handicapped based on his second off this mark at Sandown back in July. Bounced back to form at Haydock last time out when the ground might not have suited and on that evidence this drop back to seven furlongs should be ideal.

Newmarket

Best bet

3.15 Wind Chimes - Boasts the best form in this Group 1 contest thanks to a close second behind Recoletos in France last time out. Had the smart Expert Eye behind in third that day and she should be too strong for these.

Each-way

5.35 Inpromptu - Hasn't looked in love with Tapeta on two of her last three starts. On her penultimate outing at Thirsk she showed a good attitude to come clear from a decent prospect and she can prove that she's on a good mark here.

Redcar

Best bet

4.00 Emmaus - Takes a drop in grade here to tackle Listed company and that can see him back to winning ways. Hasn't been disgraced in better races than this this season and although the ground could be a touch on the lively side, he has a touch of class over this trip.

Each-way

4.35 Mon Beau Visage - Just touched off in a handicap over this course and distance last month and has a big chance off only a 1lb higher. Gets in at the bottom of the weights and can be given good chance at a track he enjoys.

Wolverhampton

Best bet

6.45 Major Partnership - Could be too good for these if reproducing the form of his last three outings. Travelled strongly over a mile last time out and could be perfectly suited by the drop back to six furlongs.

Each-way

8.45 Sauciehall Street - Won impressively at Newcastle two starts ago, having also hit the target at this course on his previous outing. Disappointed on turf last time but back on synthetics must have big chance if coping with latest rise in the weights.

Fontwell

Best bet

2.15 Zen Master - A race full of horses out of form with the one exception being Charlie Mann's challenger. Hasn't run for a while and makes his debut over fences but could have too much of an engine for these.

Each-way

4.30 Brown Bear - Has dropped to a very favourable mark and starts in Class 5 grade for the first time since bolting up at the course in June last year. Back from a break and could be hard to beat.
