Aidan O’Brien’s Kenya among 95 confirmations for the Cambridgeshire
The progressive colt won the Irish Cambridgeshire before running second in a Group 2
THE high-class Kenya could attempt to win the Cambridgeshire double at Newmarket on Saturday.
Aidan O'Brien's colt ran out an emphatic winner of the Irish equivalent at the Curragh earlier this month.
The son of Galileo, who was second in a Group 2 at Leopardstown on his last start, was one of 95 horses confirmed for the £160,000 handicap at the Rowley Mile.
He is rated a 14-1 chance by the bookies to give O'Brien his first win in the historic handicap.
William Haggas is enjoying a memorable season, and he looks set to run leading antepost fancy Alfarris.
The four-year-old was an eye-catching second in a big-field handicap at York last month.
Also in contention is Kynren, who has been knocking on the door in big races all summer.
David Menuisier is another trainer having a top season and he has left Danceteria in the 1m1f contest.
John Gosden has won the Cambridgeshire on three previous occasions and could be represented by the progressive Stylehunter.
Others in contention are Very Talented, Sharja Bridge and Wissahickon.
