WORCESTER

BERMEO is still learning as a chaser and made a couple of fair mistakes at Newton Abbot last time but was still good enough to win with plenty in hand.
He was ridden by a young claimer that day and may jump better under James Best. He goes unpenalised for that win and sees out this trip well. He’s won here over hurdles and should go close again.

LEONCAVALLO is a classy hurdler who should have enough quality on this chasing debut. His form was already smart before he joined Dr Newland, with a fifth in the Triumph Hurdle under his belt.
But he seems to have taken a step forward for his new trainer and, after winning at Ludlow, was an excellent third in the red-hot Galway Hurdle last time.
If he takes to the bigger obstacles, he could be in for an exciting season.

THEO showed a liking for this course and distance when winning well here last time out. He secured the victory with a strong run to the line and a 5lb rise in the weights looks fair enough.
Dinsdale shaped well in second at Sedgefield last time and is open to improvement having won here on his chasing debut.
EXCITING PROSPECT Quorto extends his unbeaten record in Group 1 National Stakes

STACEY SUE is getting weight from Represented and that could make all the difference in what looks a tight battle between the pair. The tip has gone well in two competitive bumpers in her native Ireland, winning on debut at Cork before going close at Down Royal last time.
A repeat of either effort should get the job done. Represented won first up at Taunton and has held his form well, finishing a good second at Fontwell last time. He won’t be far away.

MIDNIGHT SAPPHIRE has spent most of her career running well at this sort of level and came back from a long break to finish second on her debut for David Pipe at Newton Abbot.
She has been given a month off to recover from that and a repeat would see her go close over a distance that suits.
Miss Mash shaped well when third over slightly shorter here last time and should have no problem staying.

KITIKAT caught the eye when winning a Southwell bumper on debut last time and comes from a family who has had plenty of success over hurdles. There should be a lot more to come.
Sofia’s Roch was a decent handicapper on the level and has joined the Skeltons with plenty of scope for hurdling.
