Race 1 - 1.50pm William Hill Portland Handicap
Plenty in with chances in a typically open renewal of this race, with narrow preference for MARNIE JAMES.
The talented sprinter shaped as though this five and a half furlong trip would suit when keeping on well for third at York last time.
Holmeswood has been well-backed and commands respect with Silvestre De Sousa booked, while the likes of Udontdodou, Encrypted and Tis Marvellous are also considered.
Verdict - 1. Marnie James 2. Holmeswood 3. Udontdodou
RACECARDS Make the most of the new Sun Racing racecards to help you find those all important winners
Race 2 - 2.25pm Alan Wood Plumbing And Heating Park Stakes (Group 2)
Not the strongest renewal of this Group 2 and perhaps a good chance for MUSTASHRY to get another win under his belt.
He was outstayed over a 1m1f at York last time and could relish this drop back to 7f.
D'Bai has solid form to his name over this trip and can chase the selection home ahead of Oh This Is Us.
Verdict - 1. Mustashry 2. D'Bai 3. Oh This Is Us
Race 3 - 3.00pm Howcroft Industrial Supplies Champagne Stakes (Group 2)
A cracking race in which TOO DARN HOT can cement his position as next year's Derby favourite.
He oozed class when landing the Solario Stakes at Sandown and looks right out of the top drawer.
Dark Vision is unbeaten in three starts but doesn't look to have the same star quality as the selection. Phoenix Of Spain is next best.
Verdict - 1. Too Darn Hot 2. Dark Vision 3. Phoenix Of Spain
Race 4 - 3.35pm William Hill St Leger Stakes (Group 1)
The addition of Lah Ti Dar to the field is a fascinating twist to the final Classic of the season.
She was undeniably impressive when bolting up in a Listed race at York, but she is taking a big step up in class here.
KEW GARDENS could just have her measure. He has already won a Group 1 this season, will love the 1m6.5f trip and his trainer Aidan O'Brien is firing in the winners.
Old Persian is no back number and will be ready to pounce if the top two disappoint.
Verdict - 1. Kew Gardens 2. Lah Ti Dar 3. Old Persian
Race 5 - 4.10pm Napoleons Casinos & Restaurants Nursery Handicap
THE TRADER impressed when winning over 7f at Beverley and Chester.
He was far from disgraced when fourth in a Listed race last time and is back in calmer waters here.
The hat-trick seeking Indian Viceroy heads the dangers, while Rajinsky won't be far away either.
Verdict - 1. The Trader 2. Indian Viceroy 3. Rajinsky
Race 6 - 4.45pm P J Towey Construction Ltd Handicap
OSTILIO dominated from the front when winning the Britannia at Royal Ascot.
He could get an easy lead here and gets the nod over classy South African recruit Whisky Baron.
Fire Brigade has yet to hit top gear this season but deserves respect.
Verdict - 1. Ostilio 2. Whisky Baron 3. Fire Brigade
Race 7 - 5.55pm Cliff Stud Rearing Winners Handicap
BYRON FLYER has been unlucky not to get his head in front already this season.
He caught the eye when third at Newmarket and can gain a deserved victory here.
Dubawi Prince is likely to be a short price but lacks a change of gear, so Highbrow is feared most.
Verdict - 1. Byron Flyer 2. Highbrow 3. Dubawi Prince
