LADY COSETTE has been knocking on the door and put in an improved effort when second at Windsor last time. She finished well so this slightly longer trip should suit.
Winter Light should improve on her win over 5f at Brighton last time. This is a tougher race but she had plenty in hand.

DUBAI BEAUTY looked a really nice prospect when scooting in on debut at Newmarket last month. That was over 7f but she’s bred to need this longer distance and gives the impression that there’s a lot more to come.
Peach Tree went close in a Curragh Group 3 last time when handling some give in the ground. She likes to go from the front and looks the main danger.

HORSEPLAY gives the impression that stepping up from 1m4f is a smart move after staying on strongly for fourth in the Yorkshire Oaks last time.
That was on the back of winning the Lancashire version at Haydock. God Given was second that day and has since performed with credit at Goodwood and Deauville.
A bigger threat could be Pilaster who battled home to win over this distance at Goodwood and looks open to further improvement.
Ralph Beckett has won this for the past two years and his Isabel De Urbina can’t be ruled out but needs to find a bit more than she showed at Goodwood last time.
CHAMPION RETIRED Star stayer Order Of St George has time called on his racing career

AIM POWER was unlucky not to win at Goodwood last time in a hot handicap. She was coming with a good run only to be blocked at a crucial stage, which often happens at that track.
She managed to keep going for a close third. That was after another excellent effort in a Group 3 and she has no weight in this valuable contest.
Good Luck Fox has solid place claims at a big price after a convincing win at Sandown last time. He has been running over 5f but is bred for this distance.
4.05
EASTERN IMPACT ‘won’ the race on the wrong side at York last time so ran better than sixth place suggests. He has dropped nicely down the weights and is now 4lb lower than when finishing an excellent second at Newmarket in June.
His capable claimer takes even more off his back and trainer Richard Fahey continues in good form.
This is an open race and it may pay to back a couple, with Kenny The Captain having obvious claims after his close-up third at Thirsk last time.

BANDITRY is a consistent performer who put in his best effort of the season when third in similar company at York last time. He finished strongly over this trip on the Knavesmire and might have finished a lot closer had he challenged sooner.
A 2lb rise in the weights for that is fair and he goes on sticky ground. Finniston Farm has been going well over shorter trips and looked in need of this distance over a mile at York last time. He is dropping down the weights and looks a threat.

MYSTIC FLIGHT just didn’t quite get home over a mile at York last time and this drop in distance looks a wise move. He was bang there entering the closing stages but had to settle for third place.
That was just his fourth run so there should be a lot more to come and the yard is in good form.
Ulshaw Bridge didn’t fire on the Knavesmire last time but won well on his last visit here and followed up with a good effort at Ascot. He should be on the premises again.
