GOODWOOD

2.00

ZOFFANY BAY won well at Brighton and proved that was no fluke with an excellent second at Lingfield last time.

The champion jockey is keeping the ride and a 1lb rise in the weights looks fair. The ability to handle quirky tracks is another plus.

2.35

One of the newcomers could easily be good enough so watch the betting.

But on known form, BELLA VITA has the edge. She was an excellent second on debut at Epsom last time, going down in a photo finish.

You would expect plenty of improvement and she should have no problems handling the track.

NATIONAL SERVICE Boitron could be called up for Curragh contest after Newbury victory

3.05

This is definitely a race to watch as it looks like one of the best maidens of the season outside of the big meetings.

LINE OF DUTY could be the answer after finishing second at Haydock and Sandown on his two outings.

He improved on Merseyside last time and he looks to be crying out for this step up in distance.

The Queen’s Calculation is another to watch in the betting as he finished behind Too Darn Hot at Sundown last month and should take a major step forward from that.

3.40

PRINCESS POWER looks hard to beat with three wins and a second from her past four outings.

The defeat at Beverley last time was arguably her best effort as she was hampered in the closing stages. She’s off the same mark and the step back up in distance looks a wise move.

4.10

IMPHAL is a dour stayer who likes this track and is only 1lb higher than when chasing home — albeit at a distance — Lil Rockerfeller at the Glorious meeting.

He’s put in a fair effort on the all-weather since then and should hit the frame with a first-time visor replacing cheekpieces.

4.45

INCENTIVE comes here on a lower mark than her second over course and distance in June.

Since then she has run well enough at Kempton and Ffos Las and has blinkers on for the first time today, which could help get her over the line again.

Sweet Pursuit is in excellent form and put in a good effort last time to end a run of four wins on the spin.

5.20

COGITAL was beaten just a length on his one run here in May and has had a couple of fair runs since.

He has been gelded since his fourth at Sandown last time and drops back into novice company from handicaps.

He shapes as though this trip suits and should find this assignment a little easier.
