TUESDAY TIPS

Best horse racing tips: Sun Racing’s top picks for today’s racing at Ripon, Epsom, Chelmsford and Stratford

Don't miss out on Sun Racing's best bet and each-way shot at all of Tuesday's meetings

WITH York over and done with, it's time for the smaller venues to take centre stage.

The Sun Racing team have studied the form to find you the best bets and each-way selections for every race across the country.

1

Ripon

Best bet

3.00 - Iconic Choice - Did well to win in such good style last time out considering she missed the break and was in rear for most of the race. On that evidence the step up to a mile will suit and although she carries top weight, is likely to be too strong for her rivals.

Each-way

4.35 - Instant Attraction - Has been running in better contests of late and this is a drop in grade for the consistent seven-year-old. Has form figures of 21 at the track and the ease in class could be just the tonic he needs.

Epsom

Best bet

2.45 - Nina Petrovna - She may be the most exposed horse in the field, but Archie Watson's filly boasts some of the best form and can finally get her head in front. She was well clear with the winner last time out and can make amends here.

Each-way

3.15 Handytalk - Has finished a close second from three runs at the track and seems to reserve his best for this idiosyncratic surface. Gets the services of a smart young claimer in Jason Watson and will likely take a lot of beating.

Chelmsford

Best bet

5.20 Entertaining Ben - Former course winner blitzed the field at Brighton last time and can repeat the dose on the sand here. He should be able to get an easy lead and a prominent position at Chelmsford is vital. He can strike under a six pound penalty.

Each-way

7.20 Global Wonder - Finished runner-up three times before disappointing at Yarmouth on his most recent outing. Only beaten a nose at the track last month and now runs off just a 3lb higher mark. Gerald Mosse is back in the plate and the pair have a good relationship.

Stratford

Best bet

5.40 Walk Waterford - Was a bit of a revelation at Fontwell last time when beating a horse who had been in very good form. Cheekpieces clearly did the trick for the son of Fair Mix that day and he can strike under a penalty.

Each-way

6.40 Spectator - Down in grade here after running a decent race in hotter company last time. With Harry Reed's 5lb claim he's only 3lb higher than his last winning mark and he can strike in a race lacking in-form contenders.
