MELTING DEW likes to go from the front and his proven stamina could make this a real test.
He drops back in distance after finishing an excellent second at Glorious Goodwood in another hot handicap and a 5lb rise in the weights shouldn’t stop this progressive type.
First Nation came back from a long break with a solid fourth at Ascot last time and should be spot-on today for his in-form trainer.

STRADIVARIUS can earn a £1 million bonus for taking this.
He defended his Goodwood Cup title last time after winning the Ascot Gold Cup at the Royal meeting.
He started this season by winning the Yorkshire Cup here so we know he handles the track.
It will take a huge effort by any of his rivals to beat him today.
Red Verdon ran a decent race at Goodwood last time and can fill the forecast spot.

CHUCK WILLIS is improving with every run and caught the eye when a good second in a Newbury Listed contest last time out.
He won his maiden in style at Ayr and has plenty more to offer over this distance.
Shine So Bright looks a major player after a couple of cracking efforts in Group 2s. He was more than a little unlucky at Goodwood last time when going well.
He may want further ideally now but should go close again.

BATTAASH slaughtered his rivals in the King George at Goodwood last time where he showed none of his pre-race antics that have cost him in the past.
He loves this trip and should be a cut above these rivals again providing he doesn’t boil over.
Should he get excited pre-race then Blue Point could be the one to cash in, as he did when winning the King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot ahead of Battaash.
He didn’t enjoy stepping up to 6f at Newmarket last time and comes from an in-form yard.

BEAT LE BON caught the eye when beaten a neck on debut at Newbury last time out.
He came with a strong run entering the final furlong but was just run out of it.
There’s no doubt he’ll improve for the experience with this trip looking ideal for now.
Sky Defender put in a similar effort on his debut at Goodwood and is a danger.
At a bigger price, Indomitable was also runner-up on his first visit to the racecourse at Chelmsford and has plenty of scope to progress for top connections.

BORODIN took a step forward when second in a big field at Thirsk last time.
He was asked to make up a lot of ground in the closing stages there and the winning post came too soon.
Hopefully he will be ridden closer to the pace today and he can improve enough to strike in this competitive contest.
Urban Aspect is progressing nicely and cruised home at Nottingham last time. This is tougher but there should be a lot more to come.
