IT'S Great St Wilfrid Stakes day at Ripon on Saturday, with the classy seven-race card getting underway at 1.30.

A maximum field of 20 are set to line up in the feature race, and the Sun Racing team have picked out their best bets for each of the seven races on the card.

The step up to a mile looks sure to suit and trainer Tim Easterby has found him a very winnable race.

Whiskey And Water is the main danger, while Just Later is a newcomer to note.

It could pay to side with RED PIKE, who is having a second crack at this race.

He was a close second off a 5lb higher mark last term and has been drawn well for jockey Graham Lee.

Mr Wagyu remains in great nick and poses an obvious threat, while Related won't be far away either.

Yousini is unbeaten in two starts and the form of his latest win has been boosted.

He commands respect, but preference is for KUWAIT STATION, who blew his rivals away at Catterick last time.

Junius Brutus was well-backed in a Group 2 last time and is feared back down in class.

A red-hot renewal of the Great St Wilfrid can go the way of GOLDEN APOLLO.

He ran a cracker when second in a tough handicap at York last time and first-time cheekpieces can help him go one better.

The classy Kimberella has his fair share of weight but should be bang there, while Growl and Gunmetal are also high on the shortlist.

The lightly-raced SOLAR GOLD has yet to run a bad race in four starts.

She makes plenty of appeal now stepping up in trip on her handicap debut.

Thirsk winner Mountain Breath remains on a fair mark and the consistent Double Reflection is sure to be on the premises again.
