THE Galway Festival, one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the Irish racing calendar, kicks off on Monday.
But when is it, how can you watch it and what are the big races? Find out all you need to know here.
When is the Galway festival?
The Galway festival starts on Monday 30 July and is on for seven days, finishing next Sunday 5 August.
It is held at Galway racecourse, which is situated in Ballybrit, northwest of Galway city.
How can I watch the meeting?
The racing will be broadcast live on At The Races.
The channel, which will cover all the races across the seven days, is free with a Sky or Virgin Media subscription.
It can be found on Sky channel 415 or Virgin Media channel 535.
