IT'S King George week and while it's unlikely there's a future King George winner amongst the runners today, a winner is a winner.
The Sunracing team have studied the cards and picked their best bets for the day at each meeting.
Windsor
Best bet
5.40 Knight Errant - Lightly-raced and last two efforts read well at this level. Has conditions in favour and should be a backable price on top of that.
Each way
8.40 Sir Plato - A bold front-runner that thrives at Windsor. Has won four times here from seven runs including from 2lbs higher. Bit of form to find though.
DIRECT ROUTE Melbourne Cup hopeful Withhold could head straight to Australia without a prep run
Ayr
Best bet
2.30 Jabbarockie - In the form of his life and trainer is known for his progressive sprinters. Small field and should be able to dominate.
Each way
5.10 Corton Lad - Interesting back up in trip and finds the easiest opening for a while here. Dropped to a handy mark and trainer knows how to win at Ayr.

Cartmel
Best bet
3.50 Dear Sire - By far the best horse in the race and connections look to have found a nice place for his first go over fences.
Each way
5.25 Snowed In - At a track he likes and handicapper has given him a bit of leeway. Needs to find a bit more, but at a price I'm willing to take a chance.
Beverley
Best bet
6.30 Queen Jo Jo - Taking debut when second to a good and experienced rival. Should come on for that and has the prime draw in stall one.
Each way
7.00 Patrick - Looks generously handicapped and in much calmer waters than when last seen racing in Ireland. 5lb below last winning mark.
