FIRST ELEVEN ran a cracker in the King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot last time out.

He was beaten just a neck after meeting trouble in running and might well have won with more luck.

He steps out of that handicap into this Group 3 but the level of opposition is similar and he looks progressive.

2.25
LEGENDS OF WAR was kept out of Royal Ascot with a minor setback which was a shame after he had looked a nice prospect when winning on debut at Yarmouth in May.

This is just his second visit to the racecourse and there should be a lot more to come over an ideal trip.

ENCRYPTED and Savalas are closely matched on form after finishing first and second in a hot handicap at York last time out.

There won’t be a lot between them again and Hugo Palmer’s gelding can confirm the placings.

He’s gone up a fair 6lb for that victory and, with just two starts under his belt this season, improvement is expected.

3.35
BARSANTI didn’t deliver in this class at Royal Ascot last time but it was far from a poor run and he earlier won a Listed contest with a bit up his sleeve.

He likes this fast ground and can relied on to run his race again.

4.10
HANDMAIDEN caught the eye when a hands and heels second over course and distance last time out.

He travelled well and wasn’t asked too many questions when the pace hotted up. He should build on that and comes from leading connections.

4.45
GABR is taking a big drop in class after a decent effort in the Group 1 St James’s Palace Stakes at the Royal meeting were he might have finished closer than sixth but for being hampered.

He earlier went very close in a similar race to this at Sandown and is still improving.

SHAHEEN has been consistent this summer and appeared to take another step forward when winning at Doncaster last time out. He won with a bit in hand there so a further 5lb rise up the weights shouldn’t stop his progress.
