Wednesday’s horse racing tips: Three longshots that look overpriced at Haydock, Chelmsford and Kempton

Don't miss out on these each-way bets for today's racing

THERE are three longshots across the cards this Wednesday that can fill punters’ pockets ahead of Royal Ascot.

The trio should all be available at bigger prices and represent cracking each-way value over a busy day of racing.

Plentiful (2.10, Haydock) is regally bred, a half-brother to God Given and closely related to Postponed, and despite being beaten over 16 lengths on debut, showed enough promise.

He was backed before the off at Haydock but looked extremely inexperienced, taking an age to pick up when it mattered.

Despite looking beat entering the home straight he plugged on well for fourth.

On judging that debut effort the step up in trip will suit the three-year-old as well.

Watson is having an impressive year with his juveniles

In the opening race at Chelmsford, Nina Petrovna (2.20) looks overpriced for up and coming trainer Archie Watson.

It looks a wide open field and Nina Petrovna’s form of two fifth place finishes is better than it looks on paper.

The winner of his latest start ran the impressive Calyx close giving a penalty away.

Watson’s juveniles are again impressing, with six two-year-old winners to his name already.

Last but by no means least comes Your Choice (Kempton, 6.40).

She ran no race whatsoever last time out at Salisbury, and with a line through that she would be much shorter.

Wednesday's top tips

2.10 Haydock – Plentiful “Regally bred and should come on for debut up in trip” ()

2.20 Chelmsford – Nina Petrovna “Yard flying and can notch another juvenile winner here” ()

6.40 – Your Choice “Overpriced in competitive handicap for trainer Laura Mongan” ()

The wide draw is a slight concern and may have been factored into her odds, but it may help her settle being dropped in if she can’t get to the front.

The filly will no doubt go off a big price for handler Laura Mongan and could help punters finish the day in style.
