He had earlier looked a winner in waiting when finishing a close-up third at Nottingham. That was over an extended mile and he should have few problems getting this trip.

OEIL DE TIGRE won with something in hand over course and distance last time and a 3lb rise in the weights gives him every chance of following up. He gets on well with today’s young rider and this ground won’t be an issue.

SKY EAGLE did well on the all-weather over the winter and showed his liking for turf when finishing an excellent third at York last time out. That was over 1m4f but, as a four-year-old, he could well improve for this hike in distance. He looks on a fair mark for a horse that has a lot more to offer.

GIFT OF HERA couldn’t have been much more impressive when winning at Wolverhampton last time out. He left his rivals for dead to cross the line 10 lengths ahead and comes here under a 6lb penalty. He should make the most of it before the handicapper gets stuck in. Pretty Jewel is the big danger after a convincing win here last time and although he's stepping up in distance, he should handle it.

ELLEN GATES doesn’t have the greatest draw but showed her liking for Goodwood when finishing a close second here over 5f last time. Trainer Richard Hughes has his horses in good form and she’s off the same mark today.

GREAT BEYOND caught the eye when a running-on fourth over this distance at Thirsk last time out. He was still pretty green there and improved as the race progressed. He qualifies for a handicap mark with this run but has already shown enough to win.
