GOODWOOD
2.00
BIG BOOTS doesn’t have the best of the draw but he comes from the Mick Channon yard that is doing so well with its juveniles.
He scooted in on debut at Bath before getting unsettled before running at Windsor last time, which could account for his modest effort.
Hopefully the experience will have helped as he clearly has ability.
2.35
DOURADO has landed a couple of wins at Epsom so he should be at home on his equally quirky track. He was last seen winning a good quality handicap at Kempton in November over this distance.
He is just 3lb higher today and should run well on ideal ground.
HOLD TIGHT Racing presenter Hayley Moore grabs loose horse in dramatic style at Chepstow
3.10
ODYSSA was impressive when winning at Newmarket on her turf comeback last time. She went from the front there and kept producing more when challenged.
A 6lb penalty for that success gives this progressive filly every chance of following up.
3.45
BOMBYX showed lots of promise on her seasonal comeback at Newbury last time. She was second there on her first try over this 1m2f distance and gave the impression that she would come on for the experience.
This longer trip should be ideal on breeding and you would expect a lot more.
4.20
GEORGE BOWEN couldn’t have been any more impressive when winning at York over this trip last time out He hit the front entering the final furlong and scooted away from his rivals to score by six lengths.
He carries a 6lb penalty for that success on similar ground and he should be right there again.
4.55
IMPHAL hardly put a foot wrong last season, with four seconds and a win from his five outings. One of those victories came over this course and distance so we know he handles the track.
He came back from seven months off to finish a close third at Ascot last time and a 3lb rise in the weights for that looks fair.
CRYSTAL DEAUVILLE has every chance of landing the hat-trick after wins at Brighton and Bath already this month.
He’s carrying a 6lb penalty for his most recent victory, which came under hands and heels over this distance. He has a good draw and looks hard to beat.
