WINDSOR WINNERS

Today’s FREE horse racing tips: Windsor, Redcar, Carlisle, Towcester and Leicester – Steve Mullen’s betting preview for the racing this Monday, May 21

WINDSOR

COME ON LEICESTER missed the kick on debut at Ascot last time and did really well to get herself into the lead. She stayed there until the final few yards before fading into third.

She should learn from that and hopefully come out of the gates better today under Ryan Moore. She looks the one to beat.

It’s interesting to see Mark Johnston book Ryan Moore for MAIN EDITION as this nicely bred two-year-old makes her debut.

The yard’s juveniles have been going well this season and there are winning sprinters in the family.

DERBY DAY When is the Derby at Epsom, can I still get tickets and who is running?

ALWAYSANDFOREVER has kept lowly company for a horse running in such famous colours and he looked very much in need of this longer trip when a solid third at Wetherby last time over 1m2f.

That was her first run for eight months and it looked as though she would benefit from it. Her opening handicap mark isn’t asking too many questions either.

THE TIN MAN is a Group 1 sprinter as he has proven several times, including when winning the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at last year’s Royal meeting.

He’s coming back from seven months off and will have bigger fish to fry later this summer but it will be disappointing if he can’t win a Listed race with trip and ground ideal.

8.15

This is a race to watch with lots of nice fillies on show. SOLAR GOLD could come out on top after showing plenty of promise on debut at Newbury last time out.

She travelled well and poked her head in front before running a little green. You would expect her to improve for the experience and the step up in distance looks another positive.

8.45

ESSENAITCH has been knocking on the door over this course and distance with good placed efforts on his past two runs.

The handicapper has left him alone despite being beaten by just over a length in a similar contest last time. He should be in the shake-up again.
