FOXTROT KNIGHT stormed away from his rivals at Pontefract last week and, as that was an apprentice race, he gets in here without a penalty. That win was in testing ground but this faster surface also suits and he looks hard to beat.

HAYLAH looked in need of the run after five months off at Lingfield last time and did well to finish half a length off the pace. She sees out this 6f trip with few problems and should be open to plenty of improvement.
Global Passion’s best run last year came on fast ground and he is another who can show more this season.

It’s interesting to see Silvestre De Sousa partner RACEHORSE for Hughie Morrison on this first run in a handicap after three quiet efforts on the all-weather.
INJURY SETBACK Superstar filly Enable ruled out of the first half of the season
She’s sticking to this 7f trip, which should be fine for now, but further will suit in time. An opening mark of 59 means she doesn’t have to improve much.
ATEEM went down in a bobbing finish on the all-weather at Lingfield last time but also boasts some decent turf form, including when fourth at Chester and third at Newbury.
The step up from 7f shouldn’t be an issue and an opening mark of 79 on this handicap debut looks fair enough.

ARCHIMENTO battled well to win an apprentice race here last time so goes off the same mark today. That was over 1m2f which is on the short side for him so this longer distance should help.
The ground is quicker today but he has fair form on the all-weather so that shouldn’t be a problem.

NAVARRA PRINCESS has blinkers on for the first time returning to turf after some good runs on the all-weather before Christmas.
She was unlucky in a 6f nursery at Southwell last time when not getting the run of the race before finishing well. She is open to improvement and this longer trip should help.

NUTINI blew away the cobwebs when finishing a solid fifth at Windsor last time, coming back from more than five months off. He might have won with a clear run but he had to sit and suffer.
He’s off the same mark today in what looks a lesser race and should have fitness on his side too.
