Frankie Dettori has Oaks aim for John Gosden’s Lah Ti Dar after Newmarket win
LAH TI DAR shot to the top of the Investec Oaks market after an impressive win in the Pretty Polly Stakes on Sunday.
John Gosden's filly backed up her debut win as she came out on top in the Listed contest.
Despite Frankie Dettori having to get fairly serious with her in the final two furlongs, once in top gear the filly stretched away from her rivals in good style.
The regally-bred three-year-old looked as if she would relish the extra distance at Epsom next month and is now likely to head to Breakfast With The Stars instead of another run.
Gosden said: "Frankie said they didn't go much pace and he said, 'I'd better get close as this is going to be a bit of dash'.
"This ground was quick enough for her. Frankie said she had plenty left and just running down to the dip he was organising her a little bit, but it's the second race of her life.
"In the last furlong he knew she had plenty left and she wants a mile and a half now on good ground.
"She learnt a lot and we'll probably go to Epsom for the Breakfast With The Stars morning, just to let her have a nice feel of the hill there.

"Frankie thinks that would be a great idea and he's very keen for her to go to the Oaks."
Dettori added: "She's a bit cold, but you always feel when you ride her there's plenty left.

"I was concerned about the ground drying up because she's a big girl and quickening down the dip is not fun when you've got long limbs.
"She managed it OK and I would say she'll come on again for the experience. She's a really top filly.
Lah Ti Dar is the general 7-2 favourite for the Oaks on June 1.
