Dan Skelton targeting the Scottish Champion Hurdle with Cheltenham hero Mohaayed
He finished third in the race last year, but Skelton is hoping his six-year-old can go a few places better at Ayr on April 21 in the QTS Scottish Champion Hurdle.
DAN SKELTON has the QTS Scottish Champion Hurdle at Ayr on April 21 as the next target for his Cheltenham Festival winner Mohaayed.
The six-year-old caused a bit of a shock when running out the 33-1 winner of the County Hurdle in what was an emotional success for the Skelton team.
It was a first win at the meeting for jockey Bridget Andrews, Skelton's brother Harry's long-term partner.
Mohaayed was raised 7lb by the handicapped for his win, taking him to a mark of 146.
Skelton won the valuable Scottish Champion Hurdle for the first time in 2016 with Ch'tibello.

Skelton said: "Mohaayed will go for the Scottish Champion Hurdle. I wouldn't be forgetting this year that the Swinton at Haydock is worth £100,000 as well - he is also likely to get his ground there.
"He knew for a day or two that he had a race at Cheltenham, but then they do.
