Willie Mullins’ Douvan not declared for the Red Mills Chase at Gowran Park on Saturday

Willie Mullins' chaser was a surprise entry in the race earlier this week but he will not be making his return to action this weekend

DOUVAN will not run this weekend after he did not feature in the declarations for Saturday's Red Mills Chase at Gowran Park.

Willie Mullins' chaser was a surprise entry in the race earlier in the week, especially after connections had originally ruled him out for the season.

However, despite the vibes being much more positive from the yard, he won't be returning to action just yet.

In his absence, Mullins saddles last year's winner Ballycasey.

He is joined by Jessica Harrington's Our Duke who makes a quick return having finished fourth in the Irish Gold Cup.
