SWAFFHAM BULBECK was good enough to win on the Flat and took well to hurdles on his debut at Warwick last time out. He was a close-up second there and this race looks a weaker contest.

Similar comments apply to Lord Napier who was fifth at Kelso on his first try over timber.

He needs to improve but should do so.

GLOBAL DOMINATION has been nothing but consistent and did really well to recover from slipping on landing at Huntingdon last time out. He boxed on nicely to finish second and is now 2lb lower than his most recent win, which came around here.

Talk Of The South went close off this mark at Warwick latest and should be thereabouts despite not being that resolute at times.

RED INDIAN rarely runs a bad race and has been placed in good contests at Cheltenham and Kempton on his past two runs. He went close in the Lanzarote Hurdle last time and may have run without losing a shoe at a crucial stage.

He’s creeping up the weights but has enough talent to win this. Princeton Royale has been running well over fences and is off a fair mark on this return to hurdles.

There was a lot to like about the way BISOUBISOU won over course and distance last time out. She kept pulling out more in the closing stages to win by half a length.

She’s up a fair 4lb and those battling qualities should be a major asset again.

Goodgirlteresa is up 2lb for a good second at Worcester on her handicap debut last time and won’t be far away.

WOOD PIGEON jumped really well when winning as he liked over course and distance last time out. That was a big improvement on his previous efforts and he will have hopefully turned a corner now.

He’s a very short price but should win. Mondo Cane had a clumsy unseat behind Wood Pigeon latest and is better than that.

KALOCI only had three rivals to beat at Leicester last time but did it in style on her hurdling debut. She jumped quickly there and looks capable of competing at a higher level than this.

The Linksman won well here on New Year’s Day and could go close again, despite being a tricky ride.
