ARTHINGTON was a good second in a better race at Cheltenham last time out. He does have a double penalty to shoulder for wins at Plumpton and Stratford which came over this sort of trip. He can land another win here.

CLIFFSIDE PARK is a useful performer at this level and went close when second at Southwell last time out. He has won over 2m3f so this distance shouldn’t be a problem. He likes some give in the ground and can get the better of Serenity Now.

DIAMOND ROCK was a convincing winner at Bangor last time and just his second spin over fences. He has been hiked 6lb for that which looks fair and the slight drop in distance isn’t a concern.

DAYTIME AHEAD was impressive when scoring at Wincanton by an easy four lengths last time out. She steps up in distance an extra furlong here and a 7lb hike in the weights shouldn’t be a problem in this company.

MIDNIGHT GEM shaped well when second at Huntingdon last time out. She saw out this trip well there and gets on well with today’s 5lb claiming rider. She looks on a fair mark and can give another good account.

DON’T ACT UP has shown promise in novice company, including when fourth at Stratford last time out. He gives the impression that there’s a lot more to come and even though he has top weight this opening mark looks pretty fair.
