NEWBURY
12.20
BLACK OP was a very smart performer in bumpers and should make a very nice hurdler.
He is entitled to need this debut but if he repeats anything like his form on the level he’ll take all the beating for his in-form yard.

CRIEVEHILL is stepping up in class after winning at Lingfield last time but he created a good impression with his jumping there.
He kept pulling out more to win by two lengths but it could have been further. That was just his second run over fences so there should be more to come.
1.20 - Mullen's star bet
CHEF DES OBEAUX has had just one run in the UK since being brought across from France for Nicky Henderson.
It was a promising effort in a bumper around here in March over the minimum trip and this longer distance looks a wise move for his hurdling debut.

YANWORTH took a tumble on his second run over fences at Exeter last time out but he still looks the one to beat here.
He had earlier won well on his debut at the same venue where he jumped well for the most part. He was different class to these over hurdles and can bounce back.
2.25
Since taking a fall on his debut over fences, WILLIE BOY has not put a foot wrong with two convincing wins.
He scooted home in good company here last time out, with the two-length winning margin telling only part of the story. His jumping was impressive and there should be a lot more to come.

It’s been a while since THISTLECRACK ran over hurdles but he was right out of the top drawer and won the World Hurdle at Cheltenham in his heyday.
He’s not been far off that standard over the bigger obstacles and if he’s anything like fit enough for this comeback he can get the better of Unowhatimeanharry in a great contest.

FORZA MILAN did well as a novice hurdler and has stepped into handicap company with plenty of promise this autumn.
He was a close-up second at Aintree last time where he saw out the 3m2f trip in fine style. There should be plenty more to come.
