PLUMPTON

1.10

This is the most minor race LANDIN has contest for a good while given he was far from disgraced in a couple of Grade 1s last term.

He started this season with a gutsy win at Worcester over this trip.

Fitness may have been an issue there after a long break and he should be sharper here.

1.40

BENATAR was a Grade 1 performer over hurdles and has already made an impressive start to his chasing career. That was when scooting in at Aintree to take a novice handicap in fine style.

He made just one mistake and had a lot more in the tank than the winning margin of just under four lengths.

2.10

Dalaman won well at Chepstow last time and should go close again off 8lb higher in the weights.

But KASTANI BEACH has been knocking on the door and should be spot on after a couple of pipe-openers this autumn. He was a solid fourth at Exeter last time and has come nicely down the weights.

CHEF D’EQUIPE won over hurdles and fences in France before moving to Philip Hobbs. He showed lots of promise on his UK debut here last time, finishing three lengths off the pace when tiring in the closing stages.

He should have learned plenty from that and goes off the same mark here.

3.10

HOWLONGISAFOOT is hardly a horse to rely on but he has a good record over course and distance which counts for plenty.

He has also dropped down the weights to just 1lb higher than his last success.

The going is no problem and he looks a fair price.

3.40

MAB DAB has been knocking on the door lately, including when third here last time out.

He goes off the same mark as when winning over course and distance in April and that’s before taking his rider’s 3lb claim into account.

He was coming back from five months off last time and should be fitter here.
