MY word is for Bond in this staying chase.

PREMIER BOND won a couple of small-field novice chases last season before running a blinder to finish third in the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival.

The Scottish National was all a bit too much too him and I’m expecting him to step forward this season.

Today’s 3m4f trip should be ideal and ground conditions are also in his favour.

Minella Rocco has the best form – no doubt. His second to Sizing John in the Gold Cup in March is obviously tip-top form.

But he has to give lumps of weight away all round and his third off 11lbs lower in this race last year shows he will be vulnerable.

Sizing Codelco did well in the spring with wins at Aintree and Punchestown. But the handicapper was clearly watching and he’s now got plenty of weight.

The biggest danger could be Doing Fine.

He won over today’s course and distance in April and he also ran well when third behind Cogry and well-handicapped Singlefarmpayment at the last meeting here.

I’M with the Kyle council in the BetVictor Gold Cup.

That’s because I reckon KYLEMORE LOUGH is one of the best things that ever happened to today’s punting.

He completed a sensational five-timer in a Grade 1 novices’ chase at Fairyhouse 18 months ago when trained by Kerry Lee. Although he failed to win last season his form was not at all bad.

There’s every chance he will bounce back to his best after switching to in-form Harry Fry and he has a decent record when fresh.

Tully East is the one I fear most. He won the Close Brothers Novices’ Chase at the Festival in March. He has had a prep run over hurdles and should be primed for today.

Paul Nicholls’ pair Le Prezien and Romain De Senam both have claims but they have got questions to answer.

Reliable front-runner Foxtail Hill saw off Le Prezien by a neck over two miles at this track last month. He won’t be easy to pass.

Guitar Pete came good at Wetherby last time and he could be best of those at double-figure odds.

Kylemore Lough is the one for me

I’M no doubting Thomas.

Unexposed THOMAS CAMPBELL looked really good when making a winning return at this track last month.

He’s gone up 9lbs in the weights but seven off those are taken off by top young claiming jockey James Bowen.

The ground will be ideal and today’s slightly longer trip won’t be a problem. He looks to have an outstanding chance.

Dell’ Arca bolted up at Newbury last week. He clearly has to be considered on that form but I’m not confident he will repeat that effort.

Rocky’s Treasure ended last season with a brace of handicap wins. He’s clearly a horse of potential but his inexperience makes this a tough ask on his comeback run.

Kk Lexion has stronger claims. He went for home soon soon over 2m5f at the last meeting here and he is interesting stepped up in distance.

LET’S all land a Coup.

Lightly-raced COUP DE PINCEAU looks well treated for his handicap debut. He won two bumpers last year and kicked off his hurdling career with an excellent second to highly-rated Lough Derg Spirit at Kempton in November.

Paul Nicholls’ hope wasn’t seen again until making a sound return in a novices’ hurdle at Wincanton last month. A stronger pace and stiff finish should be right up his street.

The same applies to Stamp Your Feet. There’s certainly a race like this in him after his second to smart Bags Groove at Aintree last time.

The 5lbs rise makes life a little tricky but I’m expecting him to run well.

Red Indian bumped into improving Golden Birthday at Warwick in the spring. He could easily be well weighted and, after just three hurdles starts, is open to plenty of improvement.

Poker Play and Robin The Raven are other interesting contenders in an open race.

GO V for Victory in the Churchill Stakes.

I’ve always thought VICTORY BOND was well up to this level. He was third behind subsequent Sussex Stakes hero Here Comes When at York in the spring but he failed to progress.

The drop in grade and switch to the all-weather did the trick in a Chelmsford conditions race last time and he meets the runner-up Boynton on a pound better terms.

There’s a chance Boynton could reverse the form as he pulled fairly hard in the early stages on his first start for more than a year.

He was a solid third in a Newmarket Listed contest two weeks ago and he is bred to like the all-weather.

Petite Jack has a fine record at this track. He won at Chelmsford over today’s trip in September and he found plenty of traffic problems last time out.

I’ve a feeling he’ll hit the frame at a decent price.

Ayrad has twice won in this Listed class. If he takes to the all-weather he would have a chance and last year’s third Master The World can’t be ruled out despite his poor recent form.

GIFTED MASTER has the Betway Golden Rose wrapped up.

He bombed out behind Limato over seven furlongs at Newmarket last month but that doesn’t worry me as he was stuck on in the unfavoured middle of the track.

His previous form was good. He bolted up at Doncaster before landed a Listed prize at Newmarket.

Parts of his pedigree suggests he won’t have a problem with the switch to today’s all-weather surface.

Spring Loaded has been a prolific all-weather winner over the years. This is his first try at a Listed race but it’s hard to say he won’t be competitive.

Mazzini has been in decent form. He ran well over seven furlongs last time but the return to sprinting should suit him.

Mythmaker has only been out of the first two once in six previous visits to this track. That makes him a threat and he should be an each-way price.
