Tom George to start The Worlds End at Newbury
Last season's Sefton Novices' Hurdle winner The Worlds End is to begin his campaign in the Ladbrokes Long Distance Hurdle at Newbury in December.
TOM GEORGE'S exciting stayer The Worlds End is set to at least begin the new campaign over smaller obstacles, with The Ladbrokes Long Distance Hurdle at Newbury the intended target.
A Grade One-winning hurdler at Aintree as a novice last season, The Worlds End could possibly be seen over fences later in the season.
However, the Grade Two contest over hurdles at Newbury on December 1 is seen as the logical starting point in what could be a clash with Colin Tizzard's King George winner Thistlecrack.
"He will probably go to Newbury for the Long Distance Hurdle," said George.
"He is in good form. He has grown a bit over the summer and has strengthened up and that is the route we will take, I think.

"We have got the option of going chasing if we want to, but we are leaning towards sticking over hurdles at the moment.
"He won well at Aintree. He is a young horse and should improve.
"It is still only the start of his career and let's hope everything goes smoothly with him."

Last year's winner Sir Valentino could lead a two-horse raid from the George stable on the Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter next Tuesday.
"He is going to go to the Haldon Gold Cup and will probably be joined by his stablemate Max Ward as he has got the right profile for that," said the Slad handler.
"Sir Valentino, off 160, will have top weight. He was placed in a Champion Chase, so he did very well last season.
"He is in great form and is working well and we are happy with him."
