Richard Hannon’s Barney Roy set for a crack at Saturday’s QIPCO Champion Stakes at Ascot racecourse
Richard Hannon's three-year-old is on track for a clash with John Gosden's Cracksman in the Group 1 thriller
SATURDAY'S QIPCO Champion Stakes is set to be a cracker with the likes of Cracksman and Barney Roy set to clash.
Cracksman is one of 17 horses entered in the Group 1 contest after he missed a run in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
Barney Roy, trained by Richard Hannon for Godolphin, was runner-up to Churchill in the 2,000 Guineas before gaining his revenge in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.
