VERBAL DEXTERITY will miss Saturday’s Darley Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.
Jim Bolger has had to skip the race with his promising two-year-old but is still hoping to run him again this season.
Bolger told Press Association Sport: “His scope wasn’t clean this morning.
“We’ll be looking at the race in Saint-Cloud (Criterium International) and the Racing Post Trophy in Doncaster.”
Nine two-year-olds are set to go to post headed by hot favourite Expert Eye.
Bolger is still represented by Theobald while Aidan O’Brien – on the hunt for the Group 1 record – fires four at the prize.
