The form shown so far by DEMONS ROCK has been a long way clear of any of today’s rivals.
He had already landed three wins on the bounce before heading to York last time where he battled home to win a 17-runner nursery.
He found more when needed and is still on the upgrade.

NOBLEMAN’S NEST wasn’t good enough for Group 2 level when thrown into the Gimcrack at York last time out.
He had earlier won well at Newmarket in the manner of a good horse.
He shapes as though the step up to 7f will suit and the ground was testing for his last win.

THESME has been running well without winning, including when finishing a solid third in good company at York last time out.
She was good enough to finish fifth in a Nunthorpe which would give her a massive chance in this company. Soft ground is okay and Frankie Dettori is a good booking for the yard.

4.50 Doncaster - Mirage Dancer: 'Taking a hefty drop in class and should be good enough to win here'

George Duffield might be 71 but he could still be riding now if he wanted to and he has a good chance in the legends’ race with SOLDIER BLUE.
He’s only had three runs but the most recent was his best when coming home third at Pontefract.
The ground was similar that day and he’ll get plenty of help from the saddle.

PILLAR OF SOCIETY looks a tad overpriced mainly because of one indifferent run at Sandown last time.
Before that he had won really well in softish ground at Newmarket over a mile. This drop back in distance won’t be a problem and he can be in the shake-up.

MIRAGE DANCER drops back to his best distance after finding 1m4f on the taxing side in the Great Voltigeur at York last time. He’s also taking a pretty hefty drop in class too and ran a cracker when third in the Group 3 Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Anything like that form would be good enough here.

BOGART likes to go from the front and looks overdue a win after a couple of crossbar efforts this season.
He wasn’t disgraced at Musselburgh last time after two excellent second places at Thirsk. He handles give in the ground and looks on a fair mark.
