Fancy a bet on today's racing? Here's the best way to spend your tenner on the races!

WHEN did magicians become so weird?
In the old days dragging a bunny out of a top hat was the height or sophistication.
Producing an ace from your sleeve might get you banned from every casino in the land but it mesmerised magic fans up and down the country.

By Templegate
1.55 York - Mustashry: 'His superb turn of pace should put his rivals to the sword'
2.10 Goodwood - Verandah: 'She looked really smart when making a winning debut at Kempton a couple of weeks ago'
2.35 York - Secret Advisor: 'I’m expecting him to bounce back today'
2.45 Goodwood - Masham Star: 'His middle stall should help him get over on the front end and he should give it a good shot at holding on'
3.00 York - Frozen Angel: 'Has some good form in the book and he should like today’s sharp track'
3.20 Goodwood - Lightning Spear: 'Beat Zonderland to lift this prize 12 months ago and he’s clearly the one to beat again'
3.35 York - Magic Circle: 'He had plenty up his sleeve when winning over two miles on the opening day of this meeting'
It was left to Paul Daniels and Sooty to change the face of the wand-wavers with their unique brand of humour.
But these days it’s all David Blaine – a man you wouldn’t want to take home to your parents – and the mysterious Dynamo.
I bet neither even own a top-hat-and-tails outfit. I’m not sure I’d have let them in the Magic Circle with their attitude.
Ralph Beckett probably wouldn’t want to join that gang but I’m sure he’d like to win today’s Ebor.
And I reckon he will with Magic Circle (3.35). He won well at York on Wednesday and he’s back three days later off bottom weight.
This 1m6f trip is shorter than Wednesday’s race but he didn’t look short of pace and the likely strong pace is sure to suit.

The Gimcrack looks a tricky contest but Frozen Angel (3.00) could be the ace card.
He’s hit the frame in a brace of Group 2s and was not disgraced at the top level in Ireland last time. I think he’s worth backing at decent odds.
Earlier on the card Mustashry (1.55) and Secret Advisor (2.25) are my picks.
Over at Goodwood it should be a stormy day for the bookies. They say Lightning doesn’t strike twice but I’m confident it will.
Templegate's tenner
- £3 win Syrian Pearl
- £3 win Verandah
- £1 win Magic Circle
- £1 win Frozen Angel
- £1 each-way four-fold
Lightning Spear (3.20) won this Celebration Mile 12 months ago and I think he’ll do it again. He’s a short-priced banker.
Masham Star (2.45) is more of a sporting punt but I’m really keen on Verandah (2.10). She looked a potential star when bolting up at Kempton a couple of weeks ago.
She’s bred to be well up to this level and I reckon she’ll uphold the family honour in the Prestige Stakes.
My best bet of the day goes at Newmarket. Syrian Pearl (5.00) won twice over today’s course and distance last season and she’s now lower in the weights compared with the last of those victories.
Things didn’t pan out for her on soft ground last week but she moved like a mare running back into form.
There’s plenty of reasons to expect her to pull another rabbit out of the hat today. Just don’t tell David Blaine.
