Richard Hannon’s Barney Roy flying ahead of Wednesday’s Juddmonte International Stakes at York racecourse
Barney Roy lost by a nose in the Coral-Eclipse on his last start and he will be looking to go one better at York on Wednesday as a classy field of seven are set to go to post
RICHARD HANNON says Barney Roy is raring to go in the Juddmonte International at York.
Hannon revealed his star colt is firing on all cylinders ahead of Wednesday's £1m ten-furlong thriller, part of the QIPCO British Champions Series.
He was last seen going down by just a nose in the Eclipse to Ulysses, who he meets again.
Barney Roy and dual 2,000 Guineas hero Churchill are 5-2 joint favourites. Ulysses is 3-1.

Hannon said: "York will suit my lad immensely because it's flat and will give him time to get going with his long stride.
"He hit a few of the undulations at Newmarket and Sandown, but at Ascot he showed us what he is capable of.
"He's the best I've trained and has been in tremendous form at home since Sandown. I think he will take all the beating at York."
Jockey James Doyle said: "He ran a fantastic race at Sandown but York will be more to his liking. You'll see the best of him."
