JOYFUL STAR was a bit unlucky at Ayr last time and did well to be less than two lengths off the pace. That was despite being blocked when making his effort and forced to go again.

He goes well over this trip around here and is fine on the ground.

FOOTSTEPS FOREVER did well to win at Pontefract last time despite having a poor draw. She went from the front and kept finding more to hold off challengers.

That was just her second run so she should improve, with this longer trip likely to suit.

This is a tough race to call but ROYAL BRAVE continues in excellent form with three wins from his past five runs.

He looked in good form again when beaten a length at Ayr latest where the ground may have been on the tacky side. He’s just 1lb higher than his last win so should be right there again.

3.45 - Mullen's star bet

TRADITIONAL DANCER has few miles on the clock as a Flat performer and ran his best race so far when second over course and distance 11 days ago.

He didn’t have the smoothest run through the race and did well to finish half a length off the leader. A 3lb rise in the weights looks fair and he can go one better here.

MAJOR CRISPIES was beaten in a bobbing finish over this trip at Beverley last time and goes off the same mark today.

He has no problem with fast ground and has won off much higher in the weights. He can hit the frame in a wide open race.

SEBASTIAN’S WISH is taking a fair drop in class after finishing third over course and distance last time out.

He had no problem seeing out the marathon trip there and was beaten by a useful stayer. He landed three wins on the spin before that but still looks on a fair enough mark.

OUR PLACE IN LOULE dropped into maiden company to run a big race when third at Thirsk last time out.

The handicapper has lowered his mark by 2lb since his last handicap effort and he has some creditable enough form in the book. He needs his best but should be thereabouts.
