Royal Ascot 2017 – Priceless and Harry Angel both set for Ascot after thrilling Haydock wins
Priceless was completing a Group-race double for trainer Clive Cox and jockey Adam Kirby as the pair had earlier tasted glory with Harry Angel in the Sandy Lane Stakes
PRICELESS gave trainer Clive Cox a big-race double as she bagged the Group 2 Temple Stakes.
Her win came after Cox's exciting three-year-old Harry Angel delivered a demolition job to his rivals in the Sandy Lane Stakes.
Priceless hit the front over a furlong out having tracked the pace-setting Take Cover and while Goldream finished powerfully, Cox's filly held on by half a length.
Alpha Delphini was a close-up third.
Cox was winning the race for the second year running after Profitable won 12 months ago, and the stablemates could meet again in the King's Stand at Royal Ascot.
Cox said: "She's just getting better and better.
"Since we dropped her back to five furlongs she's just improved and taken a step up.
"She was very green in her younger days and we tried to stretch her out in trip, but bringing her back to five (furlongs) has been the making of her.
"It will be the King's Stand next, along with Profitable.
"Alan (Spence, owner and Chelsea director) is obviously at the Cup Final but I'm delighted to win this for him again as he's been a huge supporter.
"She's making up into a really strong filly and it's uncanny to win the same race again."

Earlier on the card, Harry Angel broke the track record as he bolted up in the Sandy Lane Stakes to set up a mouthwatering clash with Caravaggio and Blue Point at Royal Ascot in the Commonwealth Cup.
Winning jockey Adam Kirby - who also rode Priceless to victory - said: "He's a very big, strong horse and I think we were all aware that there was nothing in the race quick enough to lead him.
"I just let him do it and it will do him good because he's had a race and he'll improve again from this.
"I was really pleased with the way he behaved, he's growing up with every run.
"I think the world of him. We haven't seen the best of him yet. There's still more to come.
"He's a machine, this lad."
Cox added: "He's just very exciting and after the joy of having some very good horses after the last couple of years, I really couldn't believe our luck to have this guy.
"He's done so well and he's progressed. We had a hiccup with the stalls, but everyone has worked really hard on that.

"He's going the right way and that's what I'm proud of. He's a very special horse.
"He's just had a bit of anxiety - the talent has always been available, it's just a case of giving him the confidence to prove it.
"The Commonwealth Cup will, without doubt, be next for him."
