AYR TIPS

2.20
MCGINTY’S DREAM was very impressive in getting off the mark at Newcastle last time out, quickly running away from a similar field to this. That was over a slightly shorter distance but staying power should be a plus in what could be quite testing conditions. He’s gone up the weights but looks capable of improving further.

ELUSIVE THEATRE really should win this given she was a good 20 lengths clear when tumbling two from home here last time out. She’s been given the best part of a month off to get over that first fall and should be much too good if she stands up.

OSCAR’S PROSPECT has been crying out for this step up to three miles after coming up just short over 2m6f at Newcastle last time. She was doing all her best work at the finish there but the line came too soon. The ground was on the soft side so that should hold no fears. She looks capable of winning from today’s mark.

Ayr 2.20: McGinty's Dream

MUMGOS DEBUT can be a little chancy over his fences but he’ll take all the beating with a clear round. He would have scored at Uttoxeter last time but for a late fall but the last time he did that, he came back and won his next two starts. It should be a repeat here.

SPECIAL CATCH should be good enough to win this given that he had more than the official one and a quarter lengths in hand when scoring at Sedgefield last time. A 3lb rise in the weights for that looks fair enough and it came in similar conditions. He should get the better of CD winner Master Ruffit.
4.50
UNCLE ALASTAIR has a penalty to shoulder for winning at Wetherby last time but the form of that race looks strong and he can defy it. That debut victory came over this distance in the same ground so he should be capable of following up.
