The Queen’s Royal Ascot runners revealed as Her Majesty looks to return to watch her favourite horses in action
HER MAJESTY may have missed the action on day one of Royal Ascot, but the Queen still has plenty of runners left to go to post this week.
Reach For The Moon is her best chance of a winner - and Frankie Dettori is the man tasked with giving Her Majesty a Royal winner in her Platinum Jubilee year.
At 8-13 he is by far the shortest of all the Queen's runners this week.
Victory here would be extra sweet for Her Majesty, 96, after Reach For The Moon was forced to miss the Epsom Derby.
Her stable star is fighting fit ahead of a tilt at the Hampton Court Stakes, where victory in the Group 2 contest will bring with it a cheque for £59,200.
Let's hope the Queen is there in person to pick it up after she was unable to make it to Epsom during Platinum Jubilee weekend.

But Her Majesty also has a number of other hopes who will head to post throughout the rest of the week.
The first of her remaining runners, Perfect Alibi, goes off today at 3.05 in the Ascot Queen's Vase.
Here's a look at all of the Queen's horses set to run at the famous old meeting.
Wednesday

Ascot Queen's Vase 14-1
SUN BINGO GET £50 BONUS & 50 FREE SPINS TODAY
The three-year-old was a winner at Newbury over 1m 4f at Newbury last month, and goes up in trip today.
Thursday
5.00 Saga
Britannia Stakes 16-1
All of the profits made by the bookies from this race will be donated to charities and Dettori takes the saddle for the Queen over this mile-long contest.
The Godolphin-bred colt scored on this course in September 2021 but was sixth of eight on its last outing here in May.
5.35 Reach For The Moon
Hampton Court Stakes 8-13
Trained by father and son duo John and Thady Gosden, Reach For The Moon has already earned the Queen just short of £100,000 from only six races.
The three-year-old colt has two wins and four second places, including last time out when he was runner-up to My Prospero.
That horse was beaten just a nose by 2000 Guineas hero Coroebus in an absolutely thrilling finish to the St James's Palace Stakes at Ascot on Tuesday.
6.10 Tactical
Buckingham Palace Stakes 16-1
Her Majesty's last of three runners on Thursday, the four-year-old won the listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Ascot in 2020.
Trained by Andrew Balding, Tactical is part of what promises to be a mammoth field for the Buckingham Palace Stakes.
Friday
3.40 Just Fine
Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes 5-1
This four-year-old is out of Derby winner Sea The Stars, so there is impressive pedigree there.
Beaten by three-lengths on last outing over same 1m 4f distance at York last month when third of 11.
5.00 Discretion
Sandringham Stakes 14-1
The three-year-old fillie is declared for the Sandringham Stakes on Friday, which is ran over one mile.
David Egan will be on the saddle, with Discretion a winner of 1m on her last outing at Carlisle in May, and a winner over 1m 2f at Beverley three weeks earlier.
6.10 Spring Is Sprung
Palace of Holyrood House Stakes 20-1
Spring is Sprung is officially entered for the Palace of Holyrood House Stakes, but it's not yet clear whether the three-year-old will go to post.
Saturday
4.20 King's Lynn
Platinum Jubilee Stakes 33-1

Her Majesty's final runner of the week, King's Lynn is a long-shot for the aptly named Platinum Jubilee Stakes.
But a win for the five-year-old in this Group 1 contest would be the perfect ending to the meeting for the Queen.
