THE Placepot is a bet where you select a horse to be placed in the FIRST SIX races of any meeting.

You can pick more than one horse in a race – you just multiply the number of selections in each race to calculate your stake.

So for staking it’s 2x3x1x2x2x2 which adds up to 48 lines in the Placepot. You can stake what you want upwards from 5p a line which would cost a total of £2.40. 10p a line is £4.80 and so on.

Provided at least one of our horses in each race is placed, we get a paid!

LEG 1: Galopin Des Champs and Bob Olinger - the big two but it's win-only so we can't leave one out!

LEG 2: Winter Fog, Sire Du Berlais and Folcano - it's a tough contest but we have a rising star and Sire Du Berlais who has won this twice.

LEG 3: Allaho - it would be a shock if he doesn't place.

LEG 4: Thyme Hill and Champ - the Stayers' Hurdle looks open but these two should run well.

LEG 5: Imperial Alcazar and Grand Paradis - one Brit and a classy Irish contender gives us a good chance.
