JASON DAY looked in agony as he needed a physio to urgently fix his bad back on the second hole of the Masters - after he injured it picking up his daughter.
The former world No 1 lay flat on the grass as his left leg was raised in the air by the physio to help alleviate the pain.
Day twinged something in his back during cuddles with daughter Lucy this morning.
As he bent down to collect Lucy, Day said: "Oh, my back."
Australian Day, 31, has three children with wife Ellie - son Dash, six, Lucy, and Arrow, who was born last November.
Day was able to continue his round but will be a doubt for the rest of the week, especially as his back is a particular problem area.
He withdrew from the Bay Hill Invitational in March on the seventh hole of his first round with a back injury.
Day said then that the pain was so bad he found it difficult to walk.
He said: "I woke up Sunday and I couldn't really walk. Couldn't sit in a car, it was really difficult."
An MRI revealed an annular tears in the disc between his L4 and L5 vertebrae along with additional "facet problems".
Back in 2017 the former US PGA champion said he would look to change his swing after back problems caused him to pull out of two events at the end of 2016.
