Held every year before the main tournament, the Par 3 contest at Augusta National is a family affair

Who is playing in the Masters Par 3 contest?

THE tournament will be held on Wednesday, April 10.

That's one day before the main competition begins and Patrick Reed looks to emulate Nick Faldo, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods by retaining the Green Jacket.

The Par 3 contest is a laid-back affair, with plenty of the competitors not even choosing to record a score.

It's played over nine holes at Augusta and will be contested by past winners and the majority of the Masters field ahead of play on Thursday.

Last year's winner was Tom Watson - famously no competitor has won the Par 3 event and then gone on to take the Green Jacket.

Can I watch it on TV?

YOU can catch the Masters Par 3 contest live on Sky Sports Golf and Main Event.

Coverage begins at 7pm UK time.

If you want to stream the action, which will allow you to watch on your mobile, tablet or PC.

Here on SunSport we'll also be running a dedicated LIVE BLOG from Augusta throughout the week.
