Golf is back with celebrity pro-am featuring Kane, Morgan and Fleetwood and Happy Gilmour challenge
PIERS MORGAN, Harry Kane and Peter Crouch will headline a superstar cast teeing off in the Paddy Power Golf Shootout - golf's first big return in the UK.
Cricket hero Freddie Flintoff and former England star Jamie Redknapp join Ryder Cup stars Tommy Fleetwood, Thomas Bjorn and Paul McGinley.
While fan favourites Andrew 'Beef' Johnston and Carly Booth will round off the group taking part in a series of challenges as golfers welcome the game coming back following coronavirus.
Stars including Spurs ace Kane will compete in a series of skill challenges and a special shootout at the Centurion Club in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
Competitors will take part in a Happy Gilmore-style long drive challenge, a potential world record attempt in holing a putt from distance and try to master the 'hardest shot in golf'.
And punters will be able to bet on the event – with Paddy Power donating all proceeds to charity.
The players will team up in pairs for that before splitting off to do the shootout individually.
There, they will tee off on a par three and fire at two flags - one easy, one hard.
Pros have to go for the hard flag, celebs can choose but get double points for the hard flag.
There will be two pools of five playing off, with the winner of each playing off in the final for the illustrious Paddy Power Blazer.
Not quite a green jacket, but pretty good nonetheless.
The event will pan out like this:
Challenges – done in pairs
1. Golf pong
2. Happy Gilmore longest drive
3. ‘Hardest shot in golf’ – buried in the bunker
4. Blind putting
5. Shot at goal (aiming for various football goals on the fairway)
6. Closest to the pin, from the fairway, with a junior club
7. Putting from a Peter (Crouch) away – potential world record attempt
8. Fastest time to complete a hole relay
Shootout – done individually
One par 3 hole, two flags – one easy, one hard.
Closer you get, the more points you score (there’ll be two circles around the pin).
Pros have to go for the hard flag, celebs can choose – but get double points for the hard flag.
Will be two pools of five playing off, with the winner of each playing off in the final for the ILLUSTRIOUS Paddy Power Blazer.
