Arsenal fans say Arsene Wenger is doing a bad job and should be sacked, Voice of the Fans poll reveals

Our exclusive poll shows that Wenger is the most unpopular manager in the Premier League and David Wagner at Huddersfield is the most loved boss

ARSENE Wenger is the most unpopular manager in the Premier League, with just five per cent of Arsenal fans thinking he is still doing a good job.

Gunners supporters were polled by Voice of the Fans in the wake of their club’s shocking 4-0 collapse to Liverpool on Sunday.

And the results make for dismal reading for the veteran French boss, as just one in 20 of the club’s fans back him.

The Sun has teamed up with Voice of the Fans to give supporters a unique chance to tell their club their opinions on the big decisions this season.

In the wake of the humiliating result from Anfield, we asked Gunners fans for their opinions.

And only five per cent say Wenger is doing a good job as Arsenal manager.

This has plummeted from a rating of 38 per cent just two week ago.

In addition, 20 per cent of Arsenal fans say he should be sacked.

Wenger, who has been Arsenal manager since October 1996 and signed a new two-year deal in June, came last in the manager approval rating of all 20 Premier League clubs.

Slaven Bilic received the backing of eight per cent of West Ham fans, with 10 per cent of Palace fans still behind Frank de Boer.

The next worst were Southampton manager Mauricio Pelligrino on 28 per cent backing, and Stoke boss Mark Hughes on 53 per cent.

Southampton fans have turned on Pelligrino since the start of the season, from 61 per cent of fans backing him down to 28 per cent.

In contrast, our poll reveals that Huddersfield fans are loving their German boss David Wagner.

The 45-year-old is the most popular manager in the league, with 99 per cent of Terriers supporters saying he is doing a good job, with the club unbeaten in their first three games of the season.

Wagner is so popular among Huddersfield fans right now that 95 per cent of them say he is doing an excellent job.

Jose Mourinho comes second, with 96 per cent approval rating among Manchester United fans, and Brighton’s Chris Hughton third on 93 per cent.
