West Ham owner David Sullivan offers £25,000 reward after burglar targets his home

WEST HAM co-owner David Sullivan has offered a £25,000 reward to find the burglar who broke into his Essex home.

Sullivan has stumped up the money in an attempt to find the culprit who tried to ransack his £7.5million mansion while he was away on holiday.

The Hammers chairman says he believes the person behind the burglary is a serial offender who has targeted around 50 other properties in the area know as the Essex Spiderman.

Sullivan is understood to have been away on holiday in Spain when his Birch Hill home in Theydon Bois was hit on Sunday night.

But it has still hit the family hard, even though the hi-tech alarm system looks to have scared the burglar so much he left empty-handed.

Sullivan said: "To have someone break into your home is an awful experience, and I hope this reward will help bring the individual responsible to justice and prevent others going through the same ordeal."

The Essex Spiderman is understood to have targeted properties in the local area targeting high-end watches and jewellery.

And it appears he tried to go after some of the luxury goods Sullivan keeps in the opulent pad he build himself.

Last year he gave the world a glimpse of what was inside the 14-bedroom house when he opened the doors for Channel 5 TV show How the Other Half Lives.

There is a huge indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, full-size snooker table housed in a games room and a dining table that seats 24 people.

The house is littered with luxury items, objects and pieces of art - including bizarre collection of full-size servants made from silicone which Sullivan claims are worth £50,000 each.

Last month Sullivan made another grand gesture when he arranged to house homeless man Stephen Jones after he helped save people involved in the Manchester terror attack.
