Coleman, 46, signed a new two-year deal in May, which will take him to the end of the 2018 World Cup and he has already stated this will be his final campaign in charge of the Dragons.

Hull made a formal approach for Coleman, who is on the shortlist for Fifa’s Coach of the Year, after Steve Bruce quit in the summer but the FAW rejected their advances.
