Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette is crocked with a ‘worrying’ hip injury as his Lyon side slump 4-1 to Paris Saint-Germain
France striker is tight-lipped as he faces tests but coach Bruno Genesio admits he is sweating on the fitness of 'attack leader'
LEADING Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette faces tests on a 'worrying' hip injury after being taken off midway through Lyon's 4-1 thumping against paris Saint-Germain.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger already fears he might have to up a failed £29million bid to around £40m if they wants to sign France striker, 25.
But now Arsenal's interest will be put on hold after Lacazette's weekend woe in the Trophee des Champions.
Lyon coach Bruno Genesio said: "It's worrying. It's a big downside of the evening in addition to the defeat.
"This is our attack leader, he is needed. It's too early to tell about the injury. There will be examinations early this week."
Lacazette and Valencia’s £35m-rated Germany centre-back Mustafi Shkodran, 24, are thought to be Arsenal's two main transfer priorities.
Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka, 23, bought for £30m from Germans Borussia Monchengladbach, is the Gunners' only big summer recruit so far.
