JAMES MILNER could be set for an extended spell on the sidelines after Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admitted his injury 'doesn't look good'.
The Anfield vice-captain limped from the field shortly before half-time during the romping 4-0 victory over Barcelona at Wembley on Saturday.
The versatile wideman is almost certainly out of next weekend's Premier League opener at Arsenal.
And Klopp is anxiously awaiting news on the 30-year-old's fitness.
Klopp admitted: “Milly, it doesn’t look too good.
"We have no real idea what it is but it’s something with the heel.
"We have to do a scan and then we’ll know more.”
Milner, who won 61 caps for England, called time on his international career this week as he announced his retirement in order to allow younger players to be given a chance.
