DIAFRA SAKHO's £15million move to West Brom has fallen through - throwing a number of other big Prem deals into doubt.
The West Ham striker was due to complete his move to the West Midlands today, but the Baggies have called it off at the 11th hour over concerns he would not be fit for the start of the new season.
While Sakho did not fail his medical, back problems are set to keep him on the sidelines for around six weeks and Baggies did not want to splash significant cash on a player that would miss several Premier League games.
Sakho has been keen for a route out of East London and told Hammers boss Slaven Bilic that he wanted to leave earlier this summer.
And Sakho now appears in limbo - with a number of other deals now threatened as a result.
Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace seemed to have finally loosened his stance on Saido Berahino, with Stoke and Crystal Palace keen on the want-away forward.
But Peace and boss Tony Pulis would be unwilling to allow Berahino to leave without a ready-made replacement to bolster their striking ranks.
And the Hammers' moves for the Ayew brothers - Swansea's Andre and Aston Villa's Jordan - are also now in doubt without the money that they would have received for Sakho.
The 26-year-old has a history of back problems dating back to when former boss Sam Allardyce sparked a row with the Senegalese FA after announcing his player picked up the injury on international duty "when he wasn't training or playing."
Sakho has netted 15 league goals in 44 games since joining for £4m from Metz in August 2014.
