Cristiano Ronaldo pinned to a wall by Ryan Giggs while at Manchester United – for drinking a can of coke

Club legend unhappy with Portuguese's breakfast beverage, according to another former United star

RYAN GIGGS apparently once pinned Cristiano Ronaldo to a wall at the Manchester United training ground.

The shock revelations claim that the Old Trafford legend was furious with the then-budding superstar - for drinking a can of coke at breakfast.

The claim apparently comes from former United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, via Jan Aage Fjortoft's Twitter account.

Fjortoft claims that Solskjaer told him of the training ground bust-up that occured during Ronaldo's early days under Sir Alex Ferguson.

He wrote: "Solskjaer: Ronaldo came once to a breakfast with a coke in his hands. Giggs pushed him on the wall and said: don't ever do that again!"

The claims have been doubted on social media, with some users claiming Fjortoft - who played in England for six years at four different clubs - is making it up.

Others say that while Fjortoft may not be making it up, he could well be embellishing the story.

Giggs, unlike former team-mate Roy Keane, never had a reputation as a hard man or enforcer at the club.

A third theory has emerged, with more cynical fans believing Giggs was protecting a commercial deal - based on the picture below...

Whatever the truth, Giggs' advice for Ronaldo not to drink fizzy drinks at breakfast clearly worked.

The pair played six seasons together at Old Trafford, winning the Premier League three times, the FA Cup, two League Cups, the Club World Cup and the 2008 Champions League.

The Real Madrid star, who helped Portugal win Euro 2016 earlier this month, is one of the most complete athletes in the world and physically dominant on the football pitch.
