TOTTENHAM are ready to make Eric Dier one of the club's top earners by offering him a five-year deal worth £70,000 a week, according to reports.

The midfielder, 22, was one of Spurs' stand-out performer last season as they finished in the top three for the first time since 1990.

He was also a rare shining light in England's disastrous Euro 2016 campaign.

But his impressive performances as a defensive midfielder have seen him attract the attention of some of Europe's elite.

Bayern Munich appeared interested in Dier after boss Carlo Ancelotti hailed him as "one of the best players" at the Euros.

Dier only signed a five-year deal last summer but Tottenham chief Daniel Levy wants to be sure of the former Sporting Lisbon ace's future, according to the .

The contract will run until 2021 and follows bright defender Kevin Wimmer's new and improved five-year deal.

Spurs are close to completing the signing of French winger Georges-Kevin N'Koudou for £11million from Marseille.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has also raided former club Southampton for £11.5m Victor Wanyama, as well as snapping up Dutch striker Vincent Janssen for £18.8m.
